Some shelves with books and magazines seem like they should function as bookshelves but don’t. Well now they do!
These are overrides to the EA objects, replacing their tuning with bookshelf tuning and moving them to the Bookshelf category in addition to wherever they normally are. It shouldn’t conflict with anything unless you have something else that happens to modify these objects specifically, but please let me know if you have any problems with it.

Patch Notes
- Added 5 new objects from Book Nook Kit.
- Added additional functionality to some shelves if you have my Water Your Plants mod installed.
- Added a tuning file to the ByPack download as a result of the above. This file is required if you're using the BNK, EL, or ILK packs but does not require you to have my other mod installed.
- Moved Parenthood Magazine Rack from Decor with a Purpose: Books As Bookshelves. It functions identically to how it did in that mod, but this is a better fit.
- It’s come to my attention that the line between this mod and Multi-Purpose Objects: Surface/Bookshelves was a bit blurry so I decided to clean it up. The line is now this: if it looks like it could only really be a bookshelf it’s in this mod. If it’s something else (a nightstand, a table, etc) that just has books on it it’s still in that one.
- So on that note: I’ve added Cool Kitchen Stuff and Dream Home Decorator shelves to this mod.
- Added a shelf from Nifty Knitting Stuff.
- I realized that having Separate, Merged, and Merged by pack was probably confusing so I’ll be slowly updating all my mods to use a new structure.
- Starting with v1.2 the Separate download has been discontinued
- Now there are two downloads: Merged and ByPack.
- Merged contains all objects in one file.
- ByPack contains one file per pack. You can pick and choose the packs you have/want
- Each download also contains a file explaining this.
- Please delete your existing files and redownload one of the new zips because the renamed files won’t overwrite the old ones.
- Added a shelf from Industrial Loft Kit. It’s a bit less bookshelf-y than the others here but this still seemed like the best place for it.
- Made a conscious decision to not add custom thumbnails and search options for these. They’re nothing new or custom. They’re just bookshelves like all the others in the game.
